Who We Are
Pittsburgh-based Kamratōn is an all-women ensemble presenting innovative and engaging programs of new chamber and dramatic music. In its first four seasons, Kamratōn premiered works by over thirty composers, with a particular focus on commissioning and programming works by women composers. Violinist Jennifer Sternick, cellist Cecilia Caughman, flutist Sarah Steranka, and clarinetist Emily Cook perform with ensembles including the Champaign-Urbana, Butler, Johnstown, Evansville, and Westmoreland Symphony Orchestras and Cello Fury, and vocalist Anna Elder is the former lead vocalist of Squonk Opera and has toured with the Quince Ensemble. All are active participants in Pittsburgh’s thriving contemporary and experimental music communities. |

She Scores: Elevating Women as Composers and Performers
Kamratōn’s signature programming series celebrates the work of women composers and performers. This concert features two Kamratōn commissions by NYC-based composers Elizabeth Brown and Erin Rogers, alongside works by Angelica Negron, Rebecca Saunders, Liza Lim, and Jessie Montgomery.
